Far Away, or am I?

Whenever I travel home, it's hard to continue my usual quiet, daily prayer time because my time there is short. It's full of family time, friends I haven't seen in a few years, places I haven't felt in ages, and a lot of time away from the normal routine of life. It is such a joy to be able to experience these things again; there is truly no place like home. Even though I am out of routine with prayer, God is still present. Look at all of these people that exude happiness, laughter, and fellowship. Look at these family members who give each other a hard time but support you in everything you do. Look at the surprise and joy as you watch someone in line pay for someone else's lotion. Look at the simplicity of just being in someone's presence as you watch a movie in the living room. God is here nonetheless. I have to open my eyes to Him, and I am thankful for these little moments; they add up to mean more than the world.
