Foggy Love

We had a lot of fog today as I was driving into work. It was beautiful to not be able to see too far ahead of me and to see a cloud touching the earth. I was literally driving through a cloud, what?! Then, I began thinking of all of the similarities between that scene and our relationship with God.
-The cloudy scene: I can't see too far ahead of me. I have to take my time driving and I have to really pay attention to what's right in front of me but also to all of my surroundings. It was kind of gray and blah at the same time to drive through, but a cloud is coming down from the sky and it is a wonder of how it is drawn to kiss the earth.
-Our relationship with God: I can't see what He has in store for me. I have to take my time and really pay attention to what He has placed in front of me to work on for His plan. I also have to pay attention to my surroundings to see if He is revealing Himself to me in a new way. It may seem gray and blah, but it is in those times when He surrounds us and is closest. God bends down to the earth to embrace us and love us.
He's just waiting for us to rely, to trust, to come to Him for guidance, love, and care.
