Take a look at this flower.
I bought a miniature bouquet of flowers when I went to Trader Joe's two weeks ago. When I had bought them, they were originally completely purple. When I arrived home from a week-long conference out of town, I was pleasantly surprised to the flowers still being alive honestly. Secondly, the then purple flowers have began to fade a little. The purple dye has began to seep back down the stalk and into the muggy stem water.
The fringed and decaying flower petals that make up the edge of the flower remain a deeper purple while the center is being purified into an excellent white.
Isn't that what happens when we allow God into our lives? He drains the distracting color that taints our souls. He becomes the center and purifies us into this awe-inspiring version of Himself.
